Frequently Asked Questions and Terms of Service

1.Do you offer delivery?

Yes. We offer complimentary delivery for all specialty cakes and children cakes that feed up to 75 guests and must be within a 45 minute travel time. Wedding cake deliveries are NOT complimentary and the average delivery fee is $50.00 for a 40 minute travel time. Any additional delivery cost is based on mileage and travel time. Our delivery charge includes cake set-up, flower placement, or table decorations provided by Enticing Cake Boutique. Client will provide all non-edible decor items required.

2. Do you offer dummy (faux) cakes or sheet cakes to save on cost?

Yes, This is a more cost effective method. Dummy cakes are styrofoam cakes, decorated just as a real cake. Dummy cakes are 1/2 the cost of what a real cake would be. Prices are based on complexity of design and serving count. Sheet cakes also called “kitchen cakes” are kept in the kitchen. Kitchen cakes are non-decorated and buttercream-iced. This is a great way to cut cost and your guest will never know.

3. Can I order my cake from you and sheet cake or grooms cake from someone else or another bakery?

No. This is a quality control issue. Since we cannot guarantee the quality of someone else’s work, we have a strict policy against the mixing of cake vendors, including cupcakes. The cake is all cut and served in the end, and there is no differentiating what slice came from whom. If someone was to get sick, or simply not enjoy the taste/look of the secondary vendor’s cake, they would not necessarily know that it wasn’t provided by the same company that you hired to create your cake. Our recommendation is that if you have a family member, friend, or other preferred bakery in mind, that you serve their cake at the rehearsal dinner, the night before.

4. What types of cakes do you provide?

Custom wedding cakes, cupcakes, and custom specialty cakes such as grooms cakes, baby shower cakes, graduation cakes, birthday cakes, gender reveal cakes, just because cakes, baptism cakes, etc.

5. Do you offer cake tastings?

Yes. We offer complimentary cake tastings for wedding cakes only with a serving count of 80 or more. Tastings are done all day on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. by appointment only.

6. How do you price your cakes, such as by slice or by tier?

We price our cakes by the slice. Buttercream cakes start at $4.50 a serving. Fondant covered cakes (porcelain-smooth finish) start at $6 a serving. Cupcakes start at $2.50 each, and are sold by the dozen. 1 flavor per 12. Cupcakes are usually purchased to accompany  one of our cakes. Prices increase from there, depending on the complexity of design and serving count. All custom cakes or cupcakes start at $150.

7. What kind of deposit is required?

A 50% deposit is required to hold your date. Your date CANNOT BE HELD without a deposit. The full balance is due 2 weeks prior to your date. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Your deposit reserves your event date on our calendar. We take only a limited amount of orders per week, dates sell out very quickly. Once your date is held, all business is turned away for your spot. Cancellation at any time, will result in forfeiture of initial deposit, and any prepayments. All sales are final.

8. What if I decide to change my date?

Date transfers are at the sole discretion of Enticing Cake Boutique. A minimum $100.00 transfer fee would be required to reserve a new date, and would be based on availability.

9.Do you provide special dietary cakes, such as vegan, nut/allergen-free, sugar-free or gluten-free?

No. As with all bakery products, cakes may contain, or come into contact with milk, wheat, soy, nuts, cocoa, or other allergens. It is the client’s responsibility to communicate this possibility to their guests. Enticing Cake Boutique is not responsible for allergic reactions.

10. Do you offer anniversary cakes?

Yes, For weddings with a serving count of 80 or more we give you your very own anniversary tier as a gift from us to you! Top tiers generally serve 8-12, and are boxed and delivered with your wedding cake, to be eaten on your 1 year anniversary.

11. What is force majeure?

Force majeure meaning “superior force” or “act of God” releases Enticing Cake Boutique of obligation if something happens such as a hurricane, earthquake, flood, fire, storm, snow, natural disaster, act of God, war, terrorism, armed conflict, labor strike, lockout, boycott or similar event beyond our reasonable control. If it is necessary to cancel an order due to force majeure, Enticing Cake Boutique will hold all deposits/payments toward an alternate date scheduled within twelve (12) months of the original event, based on availability. If the order is not rescheduled within this period, all deposits/payments will be forfeited. No refunds will be granted in this instance.

12. What if my cake is damaged?

Enticing Cake Boutique is not responsible for the cake beyond the point of acceptable delivery. It is the client’s responsibility to provide a secure environment for the cake. Cakes are extremely fragile, and ultra sensitive to vibration and temperature. (Ideal room temperature is 65*-70*) Cake should not be moved once it is assembled. It is best to set the cake table away from guest “traffic”, as table bumps can compromise the structural integrity of the cake. Please be cautious, and keep young children away from the cake display.

13. Will you work with my florist to garnish the cake?

Yes. You can coordinate with your florist to leave the flowers you have chosen for your cake near the cake table. Flower placement is included in your delivery and set-up. Enticing Cake Boutique personally designs and arranges all of their cake’s that have flowers as part of the cake design. This is a firm policy, held in place because of both health and safety reasons, and artistic integrity. Each cake we make is an edible artistic creation and a direct reflection of our company. Enticing Cake Boutique caters and sees each design from start to finish.
